Almost since more than a year, the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi has been a talk of the industry and fans of several star heroes. In the past, stars like Pawan Kalyan, NTR and Allu Arjun were considered for this much discussed remake. However, none of them gave their nod.
Since the last 2, 3 months, there have been intense discussions that Megastar Chiranjeevi will remake Kaththi as his comeback film in VV Vinayak's direction. Ram Charan even said that an official announcement will be made after Dasara. However, there has been no noise on the film now, post the debacle of VV Vinayak's latest film Akhil.
This terrible delay by Tollywood filmmakers has now resulted in Kaththi finally going to Bollywood first. Latest buzz is that Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar will be starring in the Hindi remake of Kaththi to be directed by AR Murugadoss' assistant Jagan. The film be produced by Murugadoss himself. This means that the Hindi version will be releasing first and even if the Telugu remake is ever made, it is highly unlikely that the Telugu audiences will sustain their interest for Kaththi for long. Is this the end of Kaththi in Tollywood?
