Superstar Mahesh Babu is bogged down with two back to back disasters - 1-Nenokkadine and Aagadu. Both the films have resulted in heavy losses to their distributors and Mahesh Babu even had to return some part of his remuneration. Mahesh Babu decided to keep it aside and concentrate on his next film directed by Mirchi fame Koratala Siva. The actor is currently in Malaysia tour along with his family and will join the movie shoot from this month end.
Even though Mahesh did not participate in the film shoot yet, the Overseas rights of the film were already picked up. Classic Entertainments bagged the movie Overseas rights for whopping 8.1 Crores. This is a new record for any Telugu film in the Overseas. Classic Entertainments is a new entrant in to Overseas business. They recently opened shop with NTR's Rabhasa. The heads of the company earlier worked with Mythri films, another distribution company in US. They are also distributing Allu Arjun - Trivikram film in Overseas.
Sources say the film may release for Dussehra next year. Kanayya and Magaadu are said to be the titles in consideration according to the rumour mills but now the makers have confirmed that they did not lock any title for the film yet. Shruti Hassan will be romancing Mahesh in this film. Currently Koratala is busy fine tuning the script and finalizing the other cast and crew of the movie.
Popular Overseas distributors Mytri Film Makers are turning producers for this film. Yerineni Naveen, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar (Thammudu) and CVM (Mohan) are the producers. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music.
