Malayalam blockbuster 'Premam' is the most loved film of Year 2015. Unfortunately, The Jury of Kerala State Film Awards completely ignored this feel-good entertainer. Much to everyone's shock, 'Premam' didn't receive a single award.
How could it happen? Speaking to a website, Filmmaker and Jury Chairman Mohan commented 'Premam' isn't a flawless film and its just a byproduct of a lazy effort. 'Premam is a good entertainer but falls short in many aspects. Hence, It wasn't even considered for state awards at all,' he informs.
Dulquer Salmaan's Charlie and Prithviraj's Ennu Ninte Moideen bagged most of the Kerala state film awards. Denying 'Premam' its due recognition and remarks of Jury Chairman sparked a controversy in Kerala. People began questioning on what basis does Jury Members choose the winners!
'Premam' is being remade in Telugu. Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Hassan and Anupama does lead roles.
