After a gap of nearly six years, Nikita Thukral is all set to make her comeback in Telugu. The actress was last seen in Chintakayala Ravi, which released in 2008 and since then, she has acted in many Kannada films. Nikita is now teaming up with Ravi Babu in the upcoming film, Avunu 2, which also stars Poorna and Harshvardhan Rane.
"I had acted with Ravi Babu in Anasuya, back in 2007 and one day, when he called me to ask me if I would like to work with him again, I couldn't say no. The film is a sequel to Avunu and my role is a new addition to the series. It's always a pleasure to work with a director whom you've worked with earlier," she says.
Having started her acting career in Telugu, Nikita admits that she has a special bond with Telugu cinema. "I haven't forgotten the people or the language even after all these years. Every time I'm in Hyderabad, people recognise me and it feels great," she says.
The actress is eagerly awaiting the release of Rajesh Pillai's Traffic, which will mark her debut in Hindi, after almost 12 years since she started acting. Ask her if she has plans of getting married and settling down anytime soon, and Nikita laughs, saying, "Of course,my mother keeps bringing up the topic; however, I'm not in a hurry. I want to complete acting in 50 films and currently, the count is 44.Maybe after I reach the 50 mark, I'll start thinking about my marriage. I'm in a happy space right now."
