After casting Rana Daggubati as a grungy policeman in his Bollywood film Department, Ram Gopal Varma is all set work with the actor in his forthcoming Telugu film. The latest we hear is that the actor-director will be teaming up for a film titled Golusu. Apparently, the film will be set in the backdrop of 'gang rivalries' with Rana playing the lead role. And if all goes well, the film might go on floors anytime soon.
A source close to the actor says, "Rana was pretty gung-ho after listening to the script and is looking forward to the film, which will be jointly produced by Ramesh Varma and Naveen Mathi. The movie will be on the lines of RGV's crime thrillers — something that RGV is popular for. The pre-production work is currently in full swing."
RGV, who earlier made films like Satya, Antham, Gaayam, Sarkar, Rakta Charitra, etc., based on similar themes, is hoping to recreate the magic with Rana. Meanwhile, Rana, who recently wrapped up shooting for Rudramadevi, is currently working on SS Rajamouli's Baahubali and Neeraj Pandey's Bollywood film.
