Choreographer-turned-Director Raghava Lawrence has been granted anticipatory bail by court in connection with 'Rebel' movie dispute. The Court also ordered him to appear before Jubilee Hills police on Monday.
As per Producers J Bhagwan and Pulla Rao's version, Lawrence promised to complete the shooting with Rs 22.5 crore budget. The filmmaker also signed an agreement with Producers pledging that he would bear a portion of the cost of production if the budget crosses the estimated figure.
However, Lawrence spent Rs 40 crore for 'Rebel' and the film failed at Box Office. When Producers asked him to keep up his promise, Lawrence refused to pay the money and even threatened them. Cases under sections 406, 420 of IPC have been booked against him in Jubilee Hills police station.
Lawrence's next release would be 'Ganga - Muni 3' starring Tapsee in lead role. He is currently filming an innovative project 'Two Movies on One Ticket'.
