Brand Babu - Star Performance
Sumanth Shailendra is the newcomer who made his debut with this film. He has impressed with his performance in the movie and has portrayed an energetic performance. Esha Rebba is impressive in the role of heroine and has created an impact with mesmerising looks as well as decent performance. Murali Sharma has got a key role in the movie and he impressed as hero’s father. Raja Ravindra also played heroine’s father and he is also the best. The comedy from all the comic actors is healthy and neat. The rest of the cast has proved their best and made their presence felt.
Brand Babu - Technical Team
The director, Prabhakar chose a winning storyline that could have worked wonders if it was executed properly on screen. However, he messes it up with his unconventional approach and half-baked screenplay. The casting department has done a poor job as the supporting cast fail to bring out what is expected from them. This takes a toll on the authenticity of the proceedings as the viewers cannot connect with the characters. The music director, JB, did a decent job as two songs in the movie have repeat value. His background score is attractive and adds a decent vibe to quite a few scenes. The production values for the movie are really good as every frame looks rich and vibrant.
Brand Babu - Analysis
On the whole, Brand Babu has a good story but does not get the treatment and narration it deserves. The hero’s characterization looks interesting and offers some fun in the initial stages. However, the director loses track in the second half and this is where things get out of control. If all you want is a unique concept and intriguing hero characterization, you can give this movie a shot but others can look for a better choice this weekend.
