Savyasachi - Story
Vikram Aditya (Naga Chaitanya) survives from a huge bus accident in Kullu Manali. He lives with his sister and her husband who have a daughter named after his mother. Vikram is very much connected with the child, Maha. During his college days, he loves Chitra (Nidhi Aggarwal). He goes away on business when she is about to propose to marry him and meets after six years, which is in the present, during a professional meet. They both go to New York on some work and when they return he comes to know that his house was blasted due to gas cylinder leakage and only his sister survives. He comes to know something about the blast and what is that news? What happens with his family? These questions form the rest of the story.
Savyasachi - Star Performance
Chay as Vikram got an interesting role, he performed well. R Madhavan as disgruntled genius Arun performed adequately . Heroine Nidhhi Agerwal has very limited role, looks okay. Yester heroine Bhumika played elder sister to Chay , she is good. Vennela Kishore comedy has limitations. Shakalaka Shankar as NRI is hilarious.
Savyasachi - Technical Team
Music by Keeravani is below par but his background score makes the second half better. Dialogues are decent and so were the lyrics. The film needs serious editing as close to ten minutes could have been chopped out to make things better. Coming to the director Chandoo Mondeti, he has done a below par job with the film. He has chosen a routine revenge drama and added an alien hand syndrome to make hero’s role interesting. But he does not make use of it in a proper way. Also, the way he has under utilized an actor like Madhavan is also very disappointing. The only brownie points he gets here is that he has showcased Chay in a very good manner.
Savyasachi - Analysis
On the whole, Savyasachi is an average revenge drama which has some decent moments in the second half. The concept is good but it has not been connected properly in the story and this where things become routine. As there are no big films in the coming days, there will be a few takers for this revenge drama. All we suggest you is that the film can be given a shot this weekend but don’t go in expecting something different.
