The latest development in the Tom and Jerry game of Chandra Babu Naidu and KCR is the latter's complaint to the Central government holding Babu responsible for the power cuts in Telangana.
He accused Babu of conspiring to stall the power supply citing either over-oiling or scarcity of coal.
KCR demanded that AP government must immediately revive power generation to facilitate power supply.
A visibly upset KCR accused Babu of doing away with earlier power contracts and stopping power supply to Telangana resulting in acute power deficit in the newly formed state.
After the Andhra Pradesh government stopped power generation in the Vijayawada unit, it resulted in a deficit of 500 megawatts. Similarly, there was a shortage of 210 megawatts following the shutting down of Muddanur plant.
Ironically, ever since bifurcation, both the Telugu-speaking states have been bickering about various contentious issues.
