A youth was arrested for jumping out of emergency exit door of Chandigarh-Mumbai flight while it had landed at the parking bay of Mumbai airport. 27-year-old Akash Jain who was travelling from Chandigarh to Mumbai in a Jet Airways flight had jumped from the Jet Airways flight 9W 469 (from the aircraft's wings), and straight away walked towards the exit of the airport. He was taken into custody and arrested on the charges of endangering the life of other passengers and security of the aircraft.
Police caught him and contacted his uncle in Jalandhar but much to the shocker, it's learnt that Akash has been "missing". Akash's uncle said that they have filed a missing complaint with the local police after Akash went missing. Akash reportedly fled from home with Rs 30,000. He had apparently first planned to go to Goa via Mumbai, but later changed his plan on reaching Pune.
It's suspected that Akash is suffering from any mental ailment. However, cops have ordered a medical inquiry and a thorough investigation on the whole issue is on.
