Trimex Sands Private Limited has directed all the outsourcing employees not to attend duties from Wednesday as the company suspended operations for time being following directive from the State government. The management of the company has told them that they will be informed about resumption of duties once they get clearance from the government for mining activity.
The company's decision has dealt a big blow to more than 555 outsourcing employees who was working for the last six years. The permanent employees and contract workers are also worried over their future as the company is unlikely to begin the operations in the next couple of months.
The company has approached the AP-Telangana High Court challenging the decision of the government and the case has been posted to April 27. The government has directed the company to stop beach sand mining in Vatsavalasa after it received complaints on the mining activity beyond its jurisdiction. In fact, the company has reduced its production with the drop in demand for beach sand products in China and other markets.
