It is only a matter of days before the Andhra Pradesh government will replace the present specified authority ruling the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam by constituting a full- fledged TTD trust Board to manage the affairs of the biggest temple administration in the country.
Close on the heels of the disclosure by Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu a couple of days ago during his visit to Tirumala that the new Board would be constituted soon, it is learnt that the state government has completed this exercise by Sunday.
According to sources, in line with the commitment made to former Tirupati Member of Legislative Assembly Chadalawada Krishnamurthy on naming him as the TTD chairman once the Telugu Desam comes to power, Mr Naidu has decided to keep his word. Mr Krishnamurthy will be named as as the TTD chairman for opting out of the MLA race in the run up to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Besides finalising the chairman, the Chief Minister’s Office is learnt to have completed a background check on the probables to find a place in the first TTD trust Board to be constituted after TD came to power in the residual Andhra Pradesh.
According to sources, one member each, from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana state would also find a place in the TTD trust Board to be constituted by the AP government. Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the final list would come up for discussion in the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet meet scheduled to be held on October 1.
In any case, the full fledged Board for the TTD will be constituted within a matter of just a few days.
