A few days after Chandrababu Naidu's government held e-Cabinet meeting, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, the Telangana government is all set to introduce an unique initiative in the state.
The Telangana Police recently launched 'Interceptor Vehicles for Armed Intervention' to respond quickly to any law and order contingencies. In a first in the country initiative, they will soon receive complaints through the popular social networking site, Facebook.
While nearly 15 ACPs and five DCPs would monitor the pages of the police stations in Hyderabad, SPs would oversee the pages of police stations other districts in the state.
According to the Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma, all the 60 police stations under Hyderabad and Secunderabad limits will soon have an official page on Facebook.
