Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao continues to ill-treat some of the great personalities hailing from Andhra Pradesh. The issue is regarding Status of Andhra leaders, poets and artistes located at Tank Bund.
Responding to the appeal from BJP senior leader and Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya to install Konda Laxman Bapuji's statue at Tank Bund, KCR made it clear there is necessity to establish the idols of people who sacrificed their lives for Telangana statehood and removal of the Andhra Statues which were of no use. "100 percent, I agree with Dattatreya. Not just Konda Laxman Bapuji, Even Prof. Jayashankar's statue will be installed at Tank Bund. There is need to remove the statues we don't want and BJP should support TRS here. We are even willing to pay the lorry fare for transportation and handover them to the AP Government," he commented.
KCR's remarks will surely won't go down well will the people of Seemandhra. He should have dealt this sensitive issue in a more matured manner instead of showing disrespect towards people who were known to be Telugus pride.
