Setting aside high court stay orders, the Supreme Court instructed the investigating agencies to complete the probe into the alleged role of AP Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the sensational cash for vote scam in four week. Based on the petition filed by YSR Congress party MLA Ramakrishna Reddy, Court instructed the ACB probing the case to wind up investigation in a month. The YSR Congress leader challenged high court orders in the apex court and also submitted video and audio evidences.
It may be mentioned here, the High court recently stayed the ACB court direction to the investigating agency to take up probe into cash for vote scam a fresh and submit report by September end. Naidu's name was figured in the cash for vote scam that came to light when Telangana TDP leader A Revanth Reddy allegedly offered bribe to nominated TRS MLA Stephenson during MLC elections. Revant has been arrested and was released on bail.
