The Govt of AP is all set to sign the MoU tomorrow for the historical joint initiative with Govt.of India for implementation of prestigious "Power For All" (24X7) (PFA) program aimed at providing uninterrupted power for domestic, industrial consumers.
As part of the exercise the Govt of AP has also approved NTPC proposal for 1000 MW Solar Park in NP Kunta Mandal of Ananthapuram district. It has also signed another MoU with NREDCAP & SECI for Ultra Mega Solar parks of 1500 MW. All these projects will be unveiled during the 100 days celebrations of by Chandrababu Naidu and Sri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State (IC) of New & Renewable Energy, Power, Coal, GoI.
Sri Ajay Jain, Secretary, Energy says that 1200 acres of land at Pudimadaka in Visakhapatnam has been handed over to NTPC, which has agreed for setting up of mega Thermal Project of 4000 MW, a boon for AP. The Chief Minister has also approved 1000 MW solar park to be set up by NTPC in Ananthapur for which SECI has agreed to fund Rs.200 Crore.
