Senior TDP leader Tummala Nageswar Rao today quit the party which gave him political birty after 30 years of co existence and enjoying power to the hilt as MLA, minister and also District President etc.
Earlier in the day he had visited the party office and said he would declare his intention to leave the party on September 5. Tummala underwent treatment at Global Hospital for almost a week for various health issues and returned to Khammam last evening. He made a tearful announcement about his resignation along with MLC Balasani, District TDP president Kondabala, ZP chair person Kavitha, DCCB chairman M Vijayababu and DCMS chair man Anjaiah.
Tummala Nageswar Rao, a close associate of Chandrababu Naidu in the bygone days is alleged to have struck a deal with the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and is likely to jump the fence soon as he has been offered an MLC post and also a cabinet berth. He has been logger heads with the Nama Nageswar Rao, last MP of Khammam and owner of Madhucon constructions company in whom Chandrababu reposed confidence all along ten years.
