Haryana government on Tuesday transferred 10 police officers including the Superintendent of Police of Jhajjar, Kaithal, Rewari and Yamunanagar with immediate effect and attached a senior IPS officer with the Parkash Singh Committee set up to probe the Jat quota agitation. Director General Police (DGP) Crime, K.P. Singh has been posted as Director General (DG) with Prakash Singh Committee in addition to his own duties, an official spokesman said on Tuesday.
The state government on February 24 had appointed retired IPS officer Parkash Singh “to inquire into the acts of omission and commission on part of officers of both police and civil administration during the Jat quota agitation which resulted in violence, blockade of roads and extensive damage to public and private properties. Inspector General of Police, Central Training Institute, Home Guards, Paramjit Singh Ahlawat, has been posted as IGP, Telecommunications in place of A.S. Chawla who is on leave.
Kulwinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), West Gurgaon has been posted as Commandant 4th India Reserve Battalion (IRB), Manesar, Gurgaon in place of Sangeeta Rani, who goes as Superintendent of Police, Rewari replacing Balwan Singh, who becomes DCP, West Gurgaon with additional charge of DCP, Headquarters Gurgaon. Arun Nehra, Superintendent of Police (SP), Yamunanagar has been posted as DCP, Ambala (Urban) in place of Jashandeep Singh Randhawa.
Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, DCP Ambala (Urban) has been posted as SP, Jhajjar in place of Sumit Kumar, HPS, who will be the new SP, Kaithal replacing Krishan Murari. Sumer Partap Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP), Gurgaon with additional charge of DCP, Headquarters Gurgaon will be the new SP, Yamunanagar replacing Arun Nehra. Krishan Murari, SP, Kaithal has been posted as SP, Commando relieving Pankaj Nain, SP, Karnal of the additional charge. Jhajjar and Kaithal district witnessed arson during the Jat quota agitation in the state recently.
