Andhra Pradesh government has finally responded on Kapu's agitation led by Ex Minister Mudragada and announced that it will be releasing Rs1,000 crore for Kapu Corporation. The decision was announced by AP CM Chandrababu after an eight-hour-long cabinet meeting with his ministers. The cabinet also decided to form a cabinet sub-committee to speed up the process of inclusion of Kapus in backward classes.
The sub committed formed by the government includes ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, KE Krishnamurthy, Kollu Ravindra and China Rajappa.All the ministers hailed from the Kapu community. CBN said that the sub committee formed by the government will coordinate with Justice Manjunatha commission. The commission is looking into the legal feasibilities of inclusion of Kapus in BCs
The package of Rs1,000 for Kapu Corporation to support the community will be allocated in the next budget. Chandrababu said the cabinet also decided to speed up the process of construction of the state secretariat. The financial bids will be opened on February 10. Meanwhile Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham announced that he is in plans to sit on indefinite fast along with his wife from Friday. Mudragada said that he did not get any message from the Andhra CM and hence he is sitting to fast from Friday.
