Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed displeasure over the present day media relying on allegations rather than criticism. He described allegations as simple and journos needn't take responsibility to prove them. "When it comes to criticism, Reporters have to work hard, analyse the information he have and take the responsibility to prove his story. This brings credibility to the newspapers," he quoted.
Modi advised Media to maintain credibility and rely on criticism instead of allegations to see Government work much more efficiently. He made these remarks at the 75 Years event of a Marathi daily.
The Prime Minister states Government and NGOs should welcome criticism if it is constructive. He opined the biggest challenge faced by media Today is credibility as people trust it more than anyone else.
