River Jhelum 4 months ago took the life of a 17 year old lad in Srinagar. It was not the Rivers mistake. It was the Boy's impulsive decision to end his life but the boy did not know an alternative as he had failed in his Favourite subject that he thought he would top the class in. Little did the boy know patience pays and wait is worth. 4 months later Jammu and Kashmir State board of Technical education released its Re evaluated results , A good news let out too late Mohammad Adnan Hilal had not only cleared his Physics paper, which was his Favourite subject but had topped the class with 48 marks and had attained 70% aggregate.
Hilal a 1 year Polytechnic student in his I semester of electronic engineering committed suicide right after checking his results online that read 28 (Fail). His destitute parents call it a Murder but Jammu and Kashmir State board of Technical education says a mistake of this kind is a common occurrence in any other college or University too. His re-evaluation made him the class topper but he was no more by then to enjoy it.
