Not only AP, even Tamilnaadu has also forecasted on electricity problems. Tamilnaadu has reserved Power Grid Corporation lines in advance to get 4K Mega Watts of electricity. This causes delay for Telangana Government to get 1000 MW electricity from Chhattisgarh. KCR has proudly announced that TG bought 1K MW of electricity with Chhattisgarh. But in realty there are many problems to get the power from Chhattisgarh.
It will take nearly 30 months time for Telangana to get the power from neighboring state. The reason is that there was no complete connectivity to Southern Grid from Northern Grid. There is an overload on existing grids. Power Grid Corporation has called for Tenders for 765 KW electricity line from Wardha to Maheswaram via Dichpalli. This process will finish by the end of the March’2015.
Then it took another 30 months for the completion if everything goes smoothly. If TG wants to construct new line it has to apply to Central Energy commission. There is another proposal for constructing new line of 855 KMs from Varly (Maharashtra) to Warangal (TG). Telenagna energy officials thought to depend on Power Grid Corporation instead of going for new line. After 30 months the demand for electricity also goes up to 2000 MW in Telangana. People have just wait and see policy on how KCR will handle this situation.
