Cases have been filed against Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari in three police stations under Sections 505 1(B), 506 2, 124(A) and 307 R/W 511 of Indian Penal Code for allegedly making objectionable remarks against AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy took part in a public meeting organized in Chintapalli against the bauxite mining in Visakha agency. Based on the complaints from TDP Leaders, Police have registered cases and will proceed further after examining the video footage.
Minister Peethala Sujatha said AP Govt. is contemplating on booking cases against Jagan as well for making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister. He advised YCP Leaders to maintain dignity while criticizing someone. AP Government's GO 97 permitting bauxite mining was opposed by Opposition Parties. So, The State Government has put it on hold at present.
