The moment any one hears of beautiful red apples, people generally remember Kashmir apples. However all this may change soon. It is coming out that soon Andhra Apples may satisfy the taste buds of fruit lovers.
According to sources scientists at Hyderabad's Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) are conducting research to produce Andhra Apples. Scientists found conducive climate and low temperatures in Araku valley, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
The climate in Araku is similar to that of Kashmir and with Araku located at about 3,600 feet above the sea level, scientists are confident that their experiments will give positive results in five years time.
Scientists will be growing Andhra Apples in Lambasingi and Chintapally regions of Araku in Visakhapatnam district.
