Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will take in the International Women's Day programme in Kurnool on March 8. Mr. Naidu will arrive by helicopter at the A.P. Special Police Battalion grounds at 3 p.m. He will visit the stalls and showcase programmes by SERP and Women Development and Child Welfare at the outdoor stadium at 3.15 p.m. and will address a public meeting at 3.45 p.m.
The Chief Minister will leave the APSP Battalion grounds by helicopter to Begunpet airport at 5.25 p.m., according to his tour schedule released on Sunday. Meanwhile, District Collector Ch. Vijayamohan addressed a meeting with resource persons of self-help groups at the Collectorate on Sunday and called upon all the SHG women to attend the International Women's Day programme in Kurnool. He told officials to make foolproof arrangements
The Collector he said he would submit a report to the Chief Minister on the problems of women in the urban as well as rural areas in the district. Project Director of MEPMA Ramanjaneyulu and Deputy Transport Commissioner Meera Prasad participated. Inspector-General of Rayalaseema Range V. Gopalakrishna inspected the helipad and public meeting venues and took stock of the bandobust arrangements to be made.
