Indian Test Skipper Virat Kohli on Thursday became to co-owner of the Bengaluru Yodhas team in Pro Wrestling League (PWL). He is only the second cricketer after Rohit Sharma to co-own a Wrestling franchise.
Kohli claimed he was thrilled the moment he came to know about Pro Wrestling League and Bengaluru Yodhas. He was very excited about associating with Bengaluru Yodhas franchise and wishes to follow all the matches.
Bengaluru Yodhas will play their first match against UP Warriors on Friday. The Bengaluru franchise comprises of 2012 London Olympics silver medallist & Georgia's Davit Modzmanashvili (125kg), Ukraineâ€™s Pavlo Oliiynik (97kg) and India's Narsingh Pancham Yadav (74kg), Bajrang Punia (65kg) and Sandeep Tomar (57kg) in men's category. In women's category, 5-time World Championship medallist & Azerbaijan's Yuliya Ratkevich, USA's Alyssa Lampe, India's Lalita Sehrawat and Navjot Kaur play for Bengaluru Yodhas.
In the inaugural edition of PWL, About six city based franchises compete for the title.
