Chinese premium smartphone maker Xiaomi is creating quite a buzz in the Indian smartphone landscape. After the ravishing success of the Mi 3, which sold out within 40 minutes of its release on Flipkart, Xiaomi has now unveiled the Mi 4.
A successor to the Mi 3, the Mi 4 packs in some top notch features that can give its peers a run for their money. Xiaomi claims that Mi has already sold 26.11 million units in the first half of 2014. As we wait for the Mi 4 launch date, here is a look at Mi4's specifications and best expected price.
Display: 5-inch full-HD 1080x1920 pixels JDI OGS lamination display.
Processor: Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor paced at 2.5GHz with 3GB of internal RAM.
OS: Android KitKat 4.4 layered with Xiaomi's soon to launch OS version of MIUI called MIUI 6.
Front Camera: 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony's stacked CMOS sensors.
Rear Camera: 13 MP camera with Sony's stacked CMOS sensors.
Variants: 16GB and 32GB
Changeable Rear Panels: Wooden and Denim
Xiaomi retailed the feature packed Mi 3 at a surprisingly cheap price of Rs. 13,999, which eventually became its key to success. But, since the Mi 4 is packed with a faster processor and better display, the best expected price will be somewhere between Rs 19,000 - Rs 23, 000. What is to be noted is that the price will still be a lot cheaper than at what its competitors are selling.
